Gruner Automation Asia Pacific Limited was founded on May 13, 2013 by Matthias Haas (50% share) and Gruner AG (50% share) in Hong Kong. At that time, Gruner AG was not yet represented in the Asia-Pacific region - thanks to the cooperation with the experienced HVAC specialist Matthias Haas, who is well connected in the region, the excellent opportunity to gain a foothold in this market was used. Gruner Automation Asia Pacific Ltd. has performed very well as expected to date and will continue to expand its operations in the HVAC industry in the future.

Matthias Haas
Matthias Haas worked for the world market leader in drive technology, Belimo Holding AG, for many years as a member of the Executive Committee and was employed as CEO for the Asia/Pacific market area. He successfully built up their Asian business unit, Belimo Asia Pacific, in Hong Kong and Shanghai and during this time made valuable contacts in the local HVAC industry.
As a well-known and recognized engineer and expert in the HVAC sector, Matthias Haas became self-employed after leaving Belimo Asia Pacific and intensified his contacts, including with Gruner AG, which he knew to be an interesting fellow competitor.
